| It is an inescapable fact with which I have come to terms. I am a geek. At least this is what damn near everyone says. So I decided to make a list of things I do that strike people as particularly geeky, the list will grow with time and experience so please, keep providing for me material. You know you're a geek when: -you use chess terminology during sex talk. -you count down the days until a package you ordered is scheduled for delivery and on the delivery day you wait to hear a knocking at the door because your new harddrive has arrived -you "need" that new harddrive because, you ran out of space to download anime. -you didn't get excited at your graduation nor did you get excited when your first day of post-secondary education approached but, you get excited everytime a new Mario Zelda or Metroid game is announced, you got excited when the 64-bit processor came out, when MAC announced they were switching from Motorolla chips to Intel chips, when [adult swim] announced they were bringing Bleach to the line up, when etc... you get the point... -there are hott people in your room but, instead of pay attention to them you pay attention to your computer because, you are either playing an RPG, watching Anime, configuring a new device/new software, changing your registry, doing math, etc... -you use 1337 sp34k in your normal everyday language... -you do mathematical analysis for fun and when you get stuck on a problem you do a Rubik's cube to help you think... -you do Rubik's Cubes in the same room as there is a beer pong game... -you hear someone talk about a "series of events" you immediately think to determine if the events actually do qualify as a series or if they are merely just a sequence... -likewise with balls and spheres... -your friends ask you to come chill and you tell them to hold on because, you had just found a very interesting problem and you want to try to solve it... |
